When was the last time you cried? What happened that caused your tears to fall? Was it a negative event? Pent up sadness/anxiety/fear/anger? Or were you moved by what you’ve read/watched?
We’ve often been told to stop crying by others or ourselves since young. It has become a sign of weakness/lack of control to cry. But physiologically, our bodies need it. We need the discharge of tears so that those emotions have an outlet. There is no shame in crying. Of course there are better places to cry/safer people to cry in front of. People that will hold you and comfort you through your tears, not those who will berate you for crying.
If there’s no safe place for you, there’s the toilet cubicle. It’s a safe space physically. You can cry and no one will judge you. Meanwhile, emotionally and spiritually, we have God with us through the dark times, even when there might not be other people who understand us/our situation, God does. He is always the safe space you can go to.
And after you’re done crying, wipe off your own tears and survive another day. Keep going until the day comes when there’ll be no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears.
That day will come, believe it.
