Introversion is just how I’m wired. There’s nothing inherently wrong with a different personality type that prefers and needs more time to recharge alone after socialisation. Perhaps I’ve always wanted to be an extrovert (any introvert can relate?) because talking is necessary in life and doing it takes up too much of my energy. I guess that’s why I’ve always enjoyed writing and art, they’re another form of communication instead of talking, and that’s why I see my art as speaking for me.

As I grow older, I’ve slowly learnt to manage the ebbs and flows in my energy levels, the strengths and weaknesses of my personality and just embracing the person I am, whatever personality. Even if I change (unlikely to change much cos my personality has been rather stable), I’m still me.

And every single one of us is God’s workmanship. He created us and the way we are is no mistake. We are not made to be clones and identical to one another.

So, celebrate you, embrace who you are because self love is the best and healthiest thing that you can do for yourself 🙆🏻‍♀️
